CEC's MISSIONThe mission of the Consortium for Educational Change, a network of Illinois School districts and professional organizations, is to improve student achievement by assisting member districts and schools to become collaborative, high performing organizations. CEC's Strategic Objectives
The Consortium is unique because of all its planning functions, services, and activities derive from these stakeholders: school board members, teachers, administrators, support staff, parents, community members, and increasingly, students. The Consortium assists and supports districts and schools as their organizations go through the process of systemic change in order to improve teaching and student achievement. The Consortium is a statewide effort that includes over fifty member districts and partners all working together to make a positive change in teaching and student achievement. CEC's Definition of a High Performing SystemCEC has developed a definition of high performing system. This definition is based on CEC Emerging Curriculum, The Baldrige Continuous Improvement Framework, Professional Learning Communities Concepts, and the Effective Schools Research. Find out more ... |
